The oily Biz

how we share

The biggest thing I hear when people are just starting this business is “I don’t want to be salesy” - GOOD!!! Me either.

At first glance, you might think I am a great "sales" person. I hear it all the time. But really, I'm just being me. And, guess what?  "My girls" aka Oils Made Simple Coaches are also just being them. My goal is to help them be confident in who they are, so they get out of their own way and help others.

Hypothetically speaking, if you had a cure for cancer? Would you hold it all in and never tell anyone?

I may not have THE cure, but I do have more products that will help you live your best life than you will know what to do with and I think it would be selfish of me not to share them.

Tip #1: Be Normal. Not Weird.

I will never tell you to print off your fb friends list and start conversations with people you haven't spoken to in 10 years. No! That's weird and I don't talk to those people. So you shouldn't be "one of them." hahaha

Talk conversationally, how you would talk to a friend.

You can totally tell if someone is giving info just to make a sale or if they're giving info because they're obsessed with something. Like TOMs shoes or the Instant Pot, for example. I can't shut up about them! I have lost track of how many of my friends have bought them because of my rave reviews, and I don't make a dime off any of it. I truly just love them. Think about how you would share about something if there were NO money to be made, and do that.

Don't stop talking about what you normally talk about on social. Keep being you. Just add oils! You should focus on 5 topics on social media ie. mine are farm, faith, family, food, oils... if you come to my feed, you're going to get one of those things. The law of attraction says people are attracted naturally to things/people like them. So, if they liked you before, adding oils will only increase the likelihood they will think they too need this in their life! (Marketing 101... also grab the book Getting Noticed by LTM. She is incredible and it's a quick read or listen to learn all you need about social networking authentically.)

Tip #2: Let People in Your Life.

Share what you're doing Naturally in real time. Just tell what you know. You don't need to be an expert, because then everyone will be knocking at your door when their kids has a fever at 3am... I don't want to be the "know it all" and neither do you.

In the words of Annie Hauser: "Your friends do not need you to be a scientist. Tell them why YOU use your Thieves oil. Tell them what is does for YOU. That is what they want to hear."

“So I had this meeting this morning and had to lead for the first time. I just got a bunch of these essential oils. Not sure exactly how they work yet, but I tried the Valor one and it gave me confidence. I didn't even break a sweat.”

Tip #3: Pain Points

People love to tell you their problems, right? Yes. Everyone of every age struggles with something and you get to me a need meeter! Solving problems and loving on them is what we get to do, every single day. Your oily tool kit can solve more pain points than you can count. The more you learn, the more you can help others.

Tip #4: Relationship Over Sale

Never ever compromise a relationship to gain a sale. Always make sure and love people first. Never push someone to the point that they don't want to talk to you because they are afraid you just want to sell them something. Change the subject if it gets sticky. Talk about anything but oils and let them lead you back.
